Class Badges

I'm so excited to try class badges in my classroom this year!  Haven't heard of it?  Check out this video by +ClassBadges

I've already created five awards for my students to earn in Class Badges, but I keep thinking of more.

- A badge for each educational standard mastered in the classroom
- A badge for completing quality homework on time
- A badge for showing kindness, respect, honesty or other social skills in the classroom
- A badge for reading books (Caldecott, Newberry Honor books)
- A badge for mastering math fact levels

The possibilities are endless!  I'll have fun with this!

What ideas do you have for creating classroom badges?

  1. I'm so glad you are liking ClassBadges! I think it will be right up your 4th graders alley! I love the badges you have created. If you decide to blog with your class, the student blogs might be a good place to show off the badges. You might have to show them how to save the badge as an image and then add it to their blog but I bet most of your kids will pick up on that quickly. What a great way for students to show off their hard work!

  2. Great Blog Meagan! I may have to steal some of your ideas related to ClassBadges. It would provide some continuity between 4th and 5th grades. I love the idea of being able to see what things my students learned in your 4th grade classroom. I will look in on your blog often,

  3. I agree with Mickie that this is great for elementary school. I am still on the fence for 7th & 8th graders but am going to give it a shot to see if my students can keep track of what they have accomplished. Great Blog!

    1. Thanks, Beth! Maybe it won't work for all 7th and 8th graders, but I'm sure there will be some who work like crazy to earn badges!

  5. Love ClassBadges! Great badge ideas Meagan! I really like the idea of badges for books! That could be a great motivator to get kids reading! To go along with your Newberry and Caldecott awards; there could also be awards for different genres?! So many options!
