Twitter Fabulous

I have been a Twitter user for approximately three years.  It took me some time to figure out why this was something I needed to do as an educator.  I was definitely skeptical at first.  I thought it was a bunch of celebrities trying to get as many followers as they could.

It all changed as I started to develop my network.  The success of Twitter is finding people within your field of study.  It's all about who you follow.  Once I found some great educators, I found myself enjoying Twitter.  Many of my best classroom ideas have been shared via Twitter or Pinterest.

Are you an educator?  If so, I'd love to follow you.  Find me on Twitter @MrsPriebe!

Anyone know how to put my Twitter and Pinterest buttor / link on my blog?

  1. I have just started working with twitter. I have to say the questions you asked when you started, I am asking now. I just don't get it. I feel completely lost on trying to think of things to tweet! Plus I don't understand things people are posting!

  2. I totally agree with you in that the value you find in Twitter is all about who you follow. I'm glad you stuck with it because I think it does take some time to get the hang of it.

    Keep up the good work!

    1. It is all about the network you choose to follow. I used to be just a stalker, but now I will retweet and throw in some thoughts during #nebedchat on Wednesdays. I have gotten many great ideas too!

  5. I agree also that it is who you follow to make twitter work. I have had some people I followed thinking I would get some great ideas and they turned out to be nothing. I look back at tweets from people I have not gotten much from and will usually drop them to go to others. May sound bad but I get tired of hearing what they had to eat or where they are going but "no meat to their tweet" :)
